A great way to jumpstart the process of writing about your loved one is to tune into some of their favorite music. Catch the vibe, listen to the lyrics and consider what may have been inspirational to them. Was their favorite music joyful, melancholic, humorous, calming... ? If you can put your finger on what made them tick, you'll have a great centerpiece for their eulogy or obituary. Know that it is more appropriate to quote songs your person loved and that reflect who they were rather than reflecting on songs that speak to your grief.
"You belong among the wildflowers
You belong somewhere close to me
Far away from your trouble and worries
You belong somewhere you feel free"
Tom Petty
